St Peter's Church is thoroughly committed to the safeguarding of all children, young people and vulnerable adults. Please do inform us if you have any concerns about safeguarding in and around St. Peter's Church.
We follow the Church of England's guidance and policies, as agreed by the Bishops, and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer, Dr. Robin Freeman, and Deputy Safeguarding Officer, Mrs. Ann Cooper. Posters placed in the entrance porch and on the notice board inside the Church give information on how to contact them.
The Diocese of York’s Safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advise our Parish Safeguarding Officer and Deputy Safeguarding Officer.
