St Peter's

St. Peter's is now open for public worship each Sunday at 10:45am, and singing of songs and hymns is now allowed, with our Band and Choir assisting with the leading of worship. On the first and third Sundays of each month, the Band usually plays for worship, and on the second and fourth Sundays of the month the Choir sings. Sometimes we have both Choir and Band, for special occasions.

We are receiving quite a lot of enquiries for christenings and weddings for 2021 and 2022 and have setup a new system to help us manage the enquiries. It would really help us to avoid double-bookings and so on if you could use the following designated email address:-

[email protected]

You can also telephone or text 07434 877661 for information about weddings and christenings. Thank you for helping us to help you...!

We would request that those attending christenings or weddings wear a face covering when entering and leaving the building, but these can be removed during the service.

There are no Government regulations on our services at present regarding maximum attendance at weddings or christenings.

Please contact Rev. Simon Elliott if you wish to discuss funerals, either by ringing 01377 271592 or emailing: [email protected]

There are no Government regulations in force at present, and therefore no maximum attendance at funerals.

We would request that those attending funerals wear a face covering when entering and leaving the building, but these can be removed during the service.

St Peter's Church is thoroughly committed to the safeguarding of all children, young people and vulnerable adults. Please do inform us if you have any concerns about safeguarding in and around St. Peter's Church.

We follow the Church of England's guidance and policies, as agreed by the Bishops, and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer, Dr. Robin Freeman, and Deputy Safeguarding Officer, Mrs. Ann Cooper. Posters placed in the entrance porch and on the notice board inside the Church give information on how to contact them.
