Emma Cross who organised the flower festival for us wrote a lovely introduction:\n\n"The past two years have been filled with uncertainty and worry as we steered ourselves through the Covid 19 pandemic. We even learned a new language along the way, 'lateral flow test', 'social distancing', 'work from home'......\nThankfully, joyfully, we are able once again to fill this lovely building with flowers, as we join in with the celebrations for HM The Queen's Platinum Jubilee.\nThe theme is, Celebration and Hope - the displays touch upon things which hold great meaning for us and that we celebrate - certainly, a couple of them give a nod to HM the Queen.\nThe people of Ukraine as also in our thoughts.\nPlease enjoy the wonderful displays, then have a well earned cup of tea and piece of cake!"\n\nThe Earl of Cranbrook also loaned the robes his mother and father wore for the Coronation of HM Queen Elizabeth II in Westminster Abbey, and these were displayed along with the chairs they sat on. \n\nLots of people did come along and enjoy the displays as well as tea and cake and it was wonderful to see lots of folk in the church once again and people meeting up with old friends and new. Nearly \u00a3400 was raised that went to church funds.
