Dear friends,

Sunday 25 October – A special opportunity to worship together

This Sunday there will be no morning services in any of our Middle Esk Moor churches. Instead, we're joining with Anglican congregations from across our area for a special united Deanery service in Whitby.

10.30 am – Whitby Deanery United Service

St Hilda's Church, Church Square, Whitby

This will be the one morning service for all our Anglican churches across Whitby Deanery.

It's a lovely opportunity to come together as a wider church family, to worship, pray and share in our faith with people from neighbouring parishes.

I do hope that as many of us as possible from Goathland, Grosmont, Egton, Glaisdale and Lealholm will make the journey to Whitby. It would be wonderful to see our churches well represented.

5.30 pm – Taizé Service

St Thomas' Church, Glaisdale

In the evening, we'll gather again for our monthly Taizé service.

This is a gentle, reflective time of worship, with simple repeated songs, prayer and silence. An opportunity to find a little stillness at the end of the day and rest in God's presence.

Everyone is warmly welcome, whether you've been to Taizé before or would simply like to come and experience it.

Please note the 5.30 pm start time, rather than 6 pm as shown in some earlier notices.

And don't forget that the clocks go back one hour overnight on Saturday!

I hope you'll be able to join us for one or both of these gatherings.

With all good wishes,

Anthony
