SafeGuarding

SAFEGUARDING

As a Church within the Diocese of St Edmundsbury and Ipswich we take our safeguarding responsibilities very seriously and are committed to implementing the House of Bishops safeguarding policies and good practice guidance.

We have a dedicated safeguarding lead for the Benefice of Monks Eleigh (Reverend. Mike Birt) who holds overall responsibility for safeguarding.

All of our leaders and children’s work volunteers go through a process of safer recruitment which includes a DBS screening and regular updates to their safeguarding training in line with national safeguarding training.

Safeguarding lead for St Mary, Kettlebaston is Janet Phillips.

All and any safeguarding matters can also be raised in writing to:

Diocesan Safeguarding Adviser, Diocese of St Edmundsbury and Ipswich, Diocesan Office, St Nicholas Centre, 4 Cutler Street, Ipswich IP1 1UQ
