Palm Sunday commemorates Jesus's triumphant entry into Jerusalem where he was greeted by a cheering crowd waving Palm branches and shouting "Hosanna" as he rode a donkey marking the beginning of Holy Week and events leading to his crucifixion.
The palms and the donkey symbolise peace, humility and Jesus's kingship, while the event itself is a reminder of Jesus's sacrifice and his role as the Messiah.
Palm Sunday will take place on Sunday 13th April 2025 at Chelsworth's All Saints Church at 10.15am. It will be a Holy Communion service and refreshment will follow.
Sometime during this service we will process around the Church.
