LENT LUNCHES: • Lent starts next week so it’s the time of year for us to get together around a hot bowl of soup and share in our Christian fellowship, as well as raise money for the church. • We therefore ask for volunteers to host a lunch on a Thursday during the Lent period. Please let me know if you can help and which date you can do. • Our Lent lunches are a tradition started by the late Pam Hastings who saw this as an opportunity to raise money for something specific for the church. Pam generously used to host all the lunches herself and serves as an inspiration for us all today. • The format is to offer a simple lunch (soup, bread, cheese, and fruit) for which we ask people to contribute 10 euros. All the money is donated to the church. • Below is a list of dates which you can sign up for. This year, the Ecumenical service for the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity for the Fontainebleau-Montereau-Moret area will take place on Wednesday January 24, 2024 from 20:00 in Montereau, Eglise Notre-Dame des Nations (Place Jean XXIII, 77130 Montereau-Fault-Yonne).
