Ecumenical service "Edict of Fontainebleau" at the Couvent des Carmes [16.10.2025 8PM]

​A special ecumenical service prepared by all Christian churches in Fontainebleau and its area will take place at the Couvent des Carmes in Avon on Thursday 16 October 2025 from 8PM for the 340th anniversary of the Edict of Fontainebleau which revoked the Protestant religion in France in October 1685. Our chaplain will be one of the priests leading the service; the service sheet is attached.

Several events are also organised by our friends from the EPUF Fontainebleau (Protestant church) during that week – see the booklet pages included in the service sheet.

Safeguarding

The protection from harm of children, young persons and adults who may be vulnerable is of paramount importance to St. Luke’s. The chaplaincy council is committed to upholding the requirements and best practices of the Diocese in Europe Safeguarding Policy and Protocol and has therefore adopted the Chaplaincy Safeguarding Protocol proposed by the diocese.
