Bats in Churches Project

The church has recently received an ‘installation’ or plaque for our involvement in the project. It will be blessed and put in a prominent place in the church. It is worth a look! It is also worth looking at the Bats in Churches website where there is more information. Wimbish is used as a case study batsinchurches.org.uk/projects/wimbish-all-saints/. Through the project we have learned to live in harmony with the bats and we have realised what a special habitat the church and churchyard is for a variety of species of bats. This project has also given us much evidence to gain our Eco Church Silver Award. We thank the Essex Bat group for their help and also Dr Honor Gay who has been our contact at the Bats in Churches Project. The project has now come to an end. We do plan another Bat Evening next year and will give more details as soon as
