We are excited to invite space enthusiasts, curious minds, and families alike to ‘The Heavenly Night Sky’ an extraordinary event held in collaboration with Thaxted Astronomical Society. This evening’s entertainment hopes to spark your curiosity about the wonders of the night sky.
There will be presentations, activities and refreshments whatever the weather.
Please bring red lighted torches and wrap up warmly.
You may like to download the apps ‘Night Sky’ and ‘Star Walk’ before you come.
It would be good to know if you are coming for refreshment purposes.

Welcome to Wimbish Church which has been a place of prayer and worship in this community from the early 12th Century. Although located a little way out of the Tye Green hamlet of the village, off Maple Lane, the church is an integral part of village community life. Alongside regular services we hold social activities where church and community members mix freely meeting in St Paul's Mission Hall, Tye Green, or in the church and grounds itself. Festival Services welcome larger numbers from the community to the church along with the pupils from Wimbish School a few times a year.
