Friday Soup started in Autumn 2022 as a Warm Room initiative organised by St Bartholomew's Church  and the Good neighbourhood scheme . It  has developed into a weekly  cafe with regulars and occasional visitors  dropping   in for a chat and some good homemade food. Regular meeting  up strengthens and builds community . There is a wealth of evidence that  shows that loneliness and social isolation increase health risks in older people and that  building relationships and shared activities contribute to our well being. 

The positive feedback we have from our patrons  makes us feel this is a very  worthwhile project.
