St Andrew's is hosting a volunteer-led Food Bank run by Thanksgiver Tafel Schweiz between 4 and 6pm on a Monday. It is a privilege for St Andrew's to host this initiative and we are looking forward to working with them. If you are interested in supporting this by volunteering, please let the Chaplain or the Church Office know. Please hold this initiative, and the people they serve, in your prayers.ore information: https://schweizertafel.ch/
There is no right age for a person to be confirmed. Anyone may be confirmed who has been baptised and if they are old enough to answer responsibly for themselves. As a general rule, anyone who is over 12 years old and can answer for themselves could be ready for confirmation, but the right time for you might be at any age – you could be in your teens or in your nineties! You will need to be baptised before you are confirmed. If you were not baptised as a child and want to make a commitment of faith, you can be baptised and confirmed in the same service, or baptised at a separate service shortly before your confirmation. You should discuss this with the Chaplain.More information: https://www.churchofengland.org/life-events/confirmation or ask the Chaplain
Bazaar Grocery Stall Appeal: If you, or anyone among your friends, are planning a trip to the UK this year, we would be so grateful if you could spare a little space in your luggage – however small – for British items for the Bazaar Grocery Stall. While some British products can be found in Zurich, many favourites are difficult or impossible to buy here. Your support is greatly appreciated and helps ensure that our Grocery Stall continues to raise valuable funds for St. Andrew’s! Naturally, we will reimburse any purchases.Craft workshops, for making Christmas crackers and learning how to make other homemade articles for the Bazaar Craft stall, will be held in the Community Centre on Fri 11 Sep at 10:00-16:00 and on Sat 12 Sep at 10:00-14:30. All would-be crafters are welcome! For more info, contact bazaar@standrewszurich.church
