Our Building

The Lutheran church is located in the old town center of Zwolle, right next to Museum De Fundatie and located in the immediate park-like surroundings of the Potgietersingel.

Right next to the church, at number 4, is the former presbytery of the church, now used as a sacristy and meeting room.

The church was consecrated in 1649 as a clandestine church and was built against the former medieval city wall. Below the church hall some remains of the foundations of this wall have been found.

Music and Worship

Leeflang/Flentrop
The current 2-manual organ with independent pedal was built in 1988 by the company Leeflang Orgelbouw (Jan Keijzer) in Apeldoorn. In 2015 the organ was completely revoiced by the company Flentrop (Dick Kooman) from Zaandam. With adjustments to pipework and wind supply, the organ has become more fundamental, making it sound more powerful and more balanced. With regard to tuning, a so-called 'Neidhardt Grosse Stadt 1724' tuning has been chosen. The advantage of this tuning is that it is quite close to the current equal temperament, but it sounds just a little more "exciting".
