The numbered weeks represent the ordered life of the Church - a period in which we live our lives neither in feasting (as in the Christmas and Easter seasons), nor in reflection or penance (as in the seasons of Advent and Lent), instead the Church focuses on growth and renewal, and looks forward in expectation of of the second coming of Christ.

Our services in our churches continue as normal, however, we recognise that through ill health, frailty, or infirmity, not everyone is able to join us every week. Therefore, if you are unable to attend in person, you are warmly invited to join in with our Rector, The Revd Mark Woodrow, from your own home, as he celebrates Holy Communion from the Vicarage.

The readings for today are Genesis 50:15-21, Romans 14:1-12, and Matthew 18:21-35.

The hymns for today are, "And can it be", and, "Forgive our sins as we forgive".

Join us for a Summer Series of Coffee Concerts in Clare Parish Church performed by talented musicians.

Refreshments served from 11am. Concert begins at 11.30am and will run for approximately 45 minutes.

This year for baby loss awareness week West Suffolk SANDS will be putting up a ribbon display on the railings outside of Clare Parish Church for anyone that would like one.

There are also 3 other ribbon displays being organised in bury at the Norman Tower, Nowton Park and the Crematorium.

All Saints’ Day and the Commemoration of the Faithful Departed on All Souls’ Day both celebrate this mutual belonging.

All Saints’ Day celebrates men and women in whose lives the Church as a whole has seen the grace of God powerfully at work. It is an opportunity to give thanks for that grace, and for the wonderful ends to which it shapes a human life; it is a time to be encouraged by the example of the saints and to recall that sanctity may grow in the ordinary circumstances, as well as the extraordinary crises, of human living.

The Commemoration of the Faithful Departed celebrates the saints in a more local and intimate key. It allows us to remember with thanksgiving before God those whom we have known more directly: those who gave us life, or who nurtured us in faith.

This service is open to all who would like to remember loved ones who have died. There will be an opportunity to light a candle to remember them in the service.

If you wish your loved one to be named in this service, please add the names to one of the lists in one of the benefice churches, or email them to [email protected].

Festival of Remembrance 2026

Join Long Melford Silver Band and Wattisham Military Wives Choir for a very special evening of music, remembrance and reflection at the beautiful St Peter & St Paul’s Church, Clare.

Featuring performances from both the band and choir, the evening will include music, readings and moments of remembrance, culminating in a traditional Drumhead Service led by The Revd Mark Woodrow, with representatives from the Armed Forces.

A moving and memorable evening as we come together to honour those who have served, those who continue to serve, and those who have made the ultimate sacrifice.

A special service for the younger members of our community.

Come along and sing some of your favourite Christmas Carols and hear the story of the very first Christmas.

Why not dress up as one of characters from the story! (a Wise Man or King, a shepherd, a sheep or a cow, an Angel, or Mary or Joseph)

All are welcome to join us to celebrate the Birth of our Lord Jesus Christ with Carols and Readings and culminating with the first Eucharist of Christmas.

Join Revd Mark and Revd Sarah on a 2 day Pilgrimage to "England's Nazareth" and stay at the Anglican Shrine at Little Walsingham.

We make our own way to Little Walsingham (car sharing encouraged) where we arrive late afternoon and settle into our comfortable accommodation at the Shrine.

Our Pilgrimage programme will include
* First Visit
* Stations of the Cross
* Veneration of the relic of the True Cross
* Intercessions in the Holy House
* Last Visit

In addition all are invited to join in the Shrine's Daily Programme

Balance Due: £170 payable 4 weeks prior to the start of the pilgrimage.

Rooms will be allocated by the Shrine, and depending on numbers resident, single occupancy rooms cannot be guaranteed.
