About Us

The Chapel of St Mary Magdalen was built by the Prior of Bath Abbey in the 12th Century, as a chapel and refuge for lepers. Over the centuries it has provided respite for pilgrims, and cared for children with special needs. Today we are maintained by St John's Foundation, providing Morning Prayer and Holy Communion to a gathered community of worshipper. We welcome all, regardless of race, gender or sexuality. We are happy to help with enquiries about Baptism, Confession, Confirmation, Holy Communion, Weddings and Funerals. Sadly, the Chapel itself is closed during this lockdown, but you are still welcome to join our on-line Sunday worship.
