About Us

The Chapel of St Mary Magdalen dates back to the turn of 11th & 12th Centuries; and served as a chapel and refuge for lepers. Over the centuries it has provided respite for pilgrims, and cared for children with special needs. Today we are maintained by St John's Foundation, providing regular Sung Eucharists & Morning Prayer to a gathered community of worshippers. The Chapel is also a member of the Small Pilgrim Places Network (https://www.smallpilgrimplaces.org). We welcome all, regardless of race, gender or sexuality. We are happy to help with enquiries about Baptism, Confession, Confirmation, Weddings and Funerals.
