The Chapel of St Mary Magdalen was built by the Prior of Bath Abbey in the 12th Century, as a chapel and refuge for lepers. Over the centuries it has provided respite for pilgrims, and cared for children with special needs. Today we are maintained by St John's Hospital Foundation, to "provide Church of England Services" to any and all who step in off the busy (mainly pedestrian) route to and from the City. We are happy to help with enquiries about Baptism, Confession, Confirmation, Holy Communion, Weddings and Funerals.
