Parish Giving Scheme

What is the Parish Giving Scheme?

The scheme is a centrally run (non-profit), professional system that offers a simple way for people to make regular donations to their parishes. (www.parishgivingscheme.org.uk).

Donations can be made on a monthly, quarterly or annual basis via Direct Debit to the Parish Giving Scheme (PGS). Even though donations are made to the PGS, they are restricted to our parish and unlike a utility bill, you are always in charge of what you give. The parish is paid the donations and the Gift Aid monthly.

The advantages for the parish are no more local administration, timely Gift Aid payments and the ability to plan ahead knowing the amount of money coming in.

The advantages for the donor are no more scrabbling around for change on a Sunday morning and the ability to easily increase your donation in line with inflation (if you wish).
