80th Anniversary Commemorative Service for 6 Saltash Auxiliary Firemen killed in the Plymouth Blitz

Service of Commemoration on the 80 anniversary of the loss of 6 Saltash Auxiliary Firemen in the Plymouth Blitz of 1941 in the presence of The Rt. Revd. Hugh Nelson, Bishop of St. Germans held at St. Stephen-by-Saltash Parish Church, Saltash, on Thursday 22 April 2021 at 11am and the officiant was Prebendary Brian A Anderson RAF AC.

The men who died were Auxillary Firemen: Francis J Brooking, Stanley R Crabb, Alfred J Crapp, Bernard Jasper, John R H Stanlake, Leslie G Tibbs and Scout Auxiliary Fireman Donald Cummins.

This Service has been based as far as possible on ones held at St. Stephen’s Church, Saltash and St. Andrew’s Church, Plymouth in 1949.
