Director of Music

St Mary’s is Nottingham’s civic church with the choral tradition at the heart of its worship, identity, and mission. Over more than forty years in post, our current Director of Music has maintained exceptionally high standards and an ambitious repertoire, giving St Mary’s one of the finest parish choirs in the country. Following the announcement of his retirement, we seek an ambitious organist and choral director to build on what is already in place and develop St Mary’s music for the next generation.

Standard working hours are 0.5 FTE (18 hours per week). The role will require some weekend and evening working. Flexible working essential according to the needs of the role and responsibilities.

Salary £19,075 – £20,645 (£38,150 – £41,920 FTE) paid monthly in arrears, plus fees at appropriate RSCM rates.
