Safeguarding Sunday is today (16th) and we will be highlighting the importance of Safeguarding in our services, and the importance of responsibility to one another and to everyone who comes into our church community. How the church is called to be a place of safety, of healing and wholeness.

Bibles for Junior School will soon be ordered. If you would like to donate for this there is an envelope in the vestry.

Christmas cards Sally Ellis has once again produced some beautiful Christmas cards featuring St Ed’s. Details at the back of church.

The Glebe – the grassy area at the front of church, is closed for parking for the winter to protect the surface. Please use the Junior School car park each Sunday from now – many thanks.

Sad news we were very sorry to hear Brian Smith has died after a period of illness. He and Margaret were both faithful, loving Christians. Brian’s funeral will be at St Ed’s

Brenda Aldred’s service will be at St Ed’s on Thursday 4th December at 11.30pm

Christmas Fair - Saturday 29th November 12 midday to 3pm. Please keep this day free so you can be part of the fun and consider helping too! for at least part of the time. There will be a sign-up sheet for this. Tombola, bottle, raffle prizes are needed and also toys, books and jigsaws. More information from Sue Elmes and Sue Beevor

St Ed’s needs…a new Treasurer, a Safeguarding officer, people to join the Thursday cleaning team, and someone to coordinate the shoebox appeal in September and October each year. Please pray that the Lord will call people for these roles. (could it be you?) Further details from the Churchwardens.
