This event celebrates the spiritual connection between Music and Faith. Through performances and meaningful conversations, it inspires and unites us, deepening our shared faith experience through the universal language of music.Everyone is welcome to come along to this free event. It is a joint event run by St Mary's Church, The Intercultural Worshipping Community and St Philip's Centre.
Please come and join us as we hear a quarter peal on our bells and organ music related to bells. There will be free refreshments and plenty of time for chatting and exploring the church. Everyone is welcome. The morning will be very informal and you are encouraged to wander round. You will be very welcome if you can stay only 10 mins or 100 mins.
Join us at 7pm every evening during Holy Week for reflection and worship.
We welcome everyone to share in our preparation for Good Friday and Easter through a variety of reflections and worship. We start Holy Week with a service for Palm Sunday at 11am on 13th April. During Holy Week there will be services every evening at 7pm. We will begin the Holy Week devotions on Monday and Tuesday when there will be short reflections with plenty of quiet space. We will follow the Turvey Abbey stations of the Cross on Wednesday and gather for a quiet Eucharist on Maundy Thursday. On Good Friday there will be an opportunity to immerse yourself in our moving Tenebrae service. We will gather again on Easter Morning at 11am to celebrate the amazing resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. It will be extra special this year as, in addition to the festival eucharist, there will be a joyful baptism.
