Safeguarding

Safeguarding at CCE

At Christ Church Endcliffe we believe that all people are made in the image of God, and therefore we seek to safeguard children who come into our care. We have a role to protect children young people and vulnerable adults from abuse; whether physical, emotional, sexual or neglect. It is the responsibility of any of our members working with children and young people to prevent and report any abuse suspected or discovered.

In the event that you are concerned about the immediate safety of a child or adult, call 999 and ask for the police.

Our policies can be downloaded via our website here: https://endcliffechurch.co.uk/safeguarding.

Our Safeguarding Officers are Sheila Turner and James Bird, who can be contacted through our website (endcliffechurch.co.uk/get-in-touch), or through the church office telephone on 07968 980554.

If you can’t get hold of Sheila or James, or need to contact the diocese directly, then details can be found here: https://www.sheffield.anglican.org/safeguarding. The Diocesan Safeguarding Adviser is Siân Checkley. If you have a concern and require safeguarding advice that won’t wait until the next working day, please contact Thirtyone:eight on 0303 003 11 11.
