St. Luke's is a Bible-based Anglican church. We aim to be a community of Christians through which people in Blakenhall and beyond experience the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit.

We seek to be faithful to the reformed theology of the Church of England's founding documents (especially the Book of Common Prayer and Thirty Nine Articles of Religion), and to provide worship that is intelligible and accessible to people who live in our parish today. In particular, we regard God's Word in the Bible as our supreme authority, and in all our preaching and teaching seek to encourage one another to live in glad obedience to it, even when that means being out of step with changing attitudes in society around us.

PLEASE NOTE:- Although the parish church building is now closed for worship, Sunday morning services are held every week in St. Luke's Primary School, adjacent to the church on Park Street South (WV2 3AE)
