Church of England Diocese of Oxford Gainfield

Holy Ascension Church, Littleworth

Welcome to Littleworth Church!

Holy Ascension is a small village church which was built by the Fellows of Oriel College under the inspiration of Edward Bouverie Pusey in the 19th Century. It is loved by its community, and offers a warm welcome and a living faith.

During the present restrictions for Covid-19, we meet weekly online for livestreamed worship on YouTube, and you can find us by searching for the Benefice of Cherbury with Gainfield channel on YouTube. We also have a Facebook account, where we post regularly.

You can find info about and links to everything we do online by going to the Cherbury with Gainfield website.

Or you can sign up and receive our weekly parish newsletter with the Sunday service link.

This page and all our service times will be updated once our churches re-open when the government permits.

The parish of Gainfield is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer(s), PSOs. The Diocese of Oxford’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advise our PSOs. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services.
