Situated at the heart of the picturesque village of Arkendale, St Bartholomew's Church occupies a prominent position at the highest point of the village, where its two main streets meet. A place of Christian worship has stood on this site since the 14th century. The present church building was completed in 1836 and holds a special place in local history as the first church to be consecrated in the newly formed Diocese of Ripon in January 1837.

Our historic village church is open daily from 10am to 5pm, welcoming visitors, pilgrims and those seeking a quiet place for reflection. Everyone is warmly welcome to join us for worship at St Bartholomew's Church, Arkendale.
