Building a church
We're a group of people who believe that God showed his amazing love for us by sending his son, Jesus, to die in our place on a cross. We want to get to know and love this wonderful God better! We would love you to join us as we do this by singing and praying and by reading what he has to say to us in the Bible. Click here to find out more about the church.
Creating a community
You don't have to be a Christian to be part of Sherford Community Church: in fact, it's a great place to come if you'd just like to find out a bit about who Jesus is, or ask your questions about God. You'll find a warm welcome and a feeling of being part of a family. Click here for more about what goes on at Sherford Community Church.
Bringing people together
We meet at 10am every Sunday at Sherford Vale School. We don’t wear old-fashioned outfits or sing dreary hymns, or say lots of strange and archaic words. What we do is say a few prayers, sing a couple of upbeat songs and look into the Bible together, as well as enjoying spending time together as family. Click here for more information.
Sherford Community Church is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Mission Community Safeguarding Officer. The Diocese of Exeter’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advise our Safeguarding Officer. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services.
