During a Communion Meal, we share in the familiar opening prayers from a communion service as we gather around the table. We then "break open" scripture - reading the biblical account of the day, and then discussing it while we eat our main course (often jacket potatoes, with each person bringing and sharing a topping). Afterwards, we reset the table with bread, grapes, and wine... and turn to the Great Thanksgiving Prayer. We retell the story of the Last Supper, and share in bread and wine. This service is filled with beautiful poetry, and a deep sense of encounter with God and each other.

We hold a Communion Meal loosely once a term, sometimes replacing a regular Compline. We love to  invite those from across the whole Northstowe Church Network.

Meet us on Stirling Road, just before the Urban Splash housing Lockhart Way) to walk down to the banks of Bug Hunters Waters, ready to welcome in Resurrection Sunday as the sun rises!

If the weather is bad, we'll move to the Pathfinder Primary School to watch the sunrise from inside...

Either way, this will be a short peaceful, reflective start to Easter Sunday.

This Easter, we’re creating a space for all ages to explore the story of love that’s stronger than everything. Whether church is familiar or completely new to you, you’re welcome to come just as you are.

We’ll reflect, wonder, create, and share — with live music, conversation, and Communion (the symbolic meal that connects us with God and one another). There's no pressure to take part in anything that doesn't feel right for you.

Expect colour, story, music, curiosity, and encounter — and afterwards, an Easter egg hunt for anyone feeling playful! 🐣

Communion this year will be led in the Baptist tradition by Revd Mark Burleigh, County Ecumenical Officer

🥐 Starting with breakfast together

After the excitement of Easter morning, the story continues. Two disciples walk a dusty road, talking through everything that has happened — and discover that the risen Jesus is walking with them.

This year we’re gathering for a simple end-of-holiday breakfast as we explore that story together. Expect conversation, reflection, and space to wonder about where we meet God in the ordinary moments of life.

Whether church is familiar or completely new to you, you’re warmly welcome to come just as you are. There will be space for all ages to join in the story — or simply enjoy breakfast and good company.

Expect food, story, curiosity, and community as we continue the Easter journey together.

Those from across the Network are invited to join us at 3.30pm for a short (30min) act of worship, before this year's AGM (4pm) [Members: the Annual Report, Agenda, and information on vacant positions will land in your inbox between now and Easter.]
Afterwards, we'll share in a laid-back community meal.

Friends and family are welcome to join us for some of all of the afternoon, especially as we share in tea, cake, chat, and board games aplenty.
