"Time for you, your child, and God"

Little Explorers is part of the Northstowe Church Network, gathering parents and carers with their little ones for a midweek encounter with God and others in a similar phase of life. We start with breakfast from 9.15, with circle time at 9.45, finishing at 10.45

Pathfinder Church Club is a brand new after-school club especially for primary-aged children at The Pathfinder School — and their families.

At its heart, this is an intergenerational club, shaped by our experience in Little Explorers and the ideas of children in Worship Gang. It’s designed to give families space to explore faith, creativity, and community together while also offering a limited number of places for children to attend independently, just like any other school-run club.

Each week will include stories, songs, crafts, games, discussion, and moments of reflection, helping children and families grow in confidence, kindness, and curiosity as they explore the big questions of life.

Compline Community gathers on Thursday evenings for a gentle, reflective space shaped by prayer, stillness, and conversation. We alternate each week between:

Candlelit Compline — a peaceful, contemplative service drawn from ancient night prayers

Book and Faith Conversations — informal evenings where we explore a thought-provoking book and reflect on how faith meets everyday life

We meet in homes across Northstowe and Over, sharing quiet, laughter, and deep listening. All are welcome — come as you are, and take part as much or as little as you like.

A welcoming space for all ages, to be met wherever you are, however you are feeling. A church full of opportunities to chat and chew over Bible passages—or simply listen and reflect. A place to dance during worship, create during reflection, or find quiet space to pause. A chance to uncover parts of a faith journey you didn’t know you needed.

Step into the Story!
Join us on a family-friendly journey through Holy Week, experience the Easter Story through adventure and storytelling. Plus, make "Ice Cream Palm Sundaes" - a sweet way to celebrate!

During a Communion Meal, we share in the familiar opening prayers from a communion service as we gather around the table. We then "break open" scripture - reading the biblical account of the day, and then discussing it while we eat our main course (often jacket potatoes, with each person bringing and sharing a topping). Afterwards, we reset the table with bread, grapes, and wine... and turn to the Great Thanksgiving Prayer. We retell the story of the Last Supper, and share in bread and wine. This service is filled with beautiful poetry, and a deep sense of encounter with God and each other.

We hold a Communion Meal loosely once a term, sometimes replacing a regular Compline. We love to  invite those from across the whole Northstowe Church Network.

Where: Bug Hunters Waters (or inside the Pathfinder Primary if wet)
When: Sunday 5th April 6.15am
Meet us on Stirling Road, just before the Urban Splash housing Lockhart Way) to walk down to the banks of Bug Hunters Waters, ready to welcome in Resurrection Sunday as the sun rises!

If the weather is bad, we'll move to the Pathfinder Primary School to watch the sunrise from inside...

Either way, this will be a short peaceful, reflective start to Easter Sunday.

Celebrate the risen Jesus with warmth, wonder, and welcome. A joyful Communion gathering for the whole family

Those from across the Network are invited to join us at 3.30pm for a short (30min) act of worship, before this year's AGM (4pm) [Members: the Annual Report, Agenda, and information on vacant positions will land in your inbox between now and Easter.]
Afterwards, we'll share in a laid-back community meal.

Friends and family are welcome to join us for some of all of the afternoon, especially as we share in tea, cake, chat, and board games aplenty.

The Deckchair Listening Project, run by Pathfinder Church Northstowe, will be at The Pathfinder School Fayre again this year offering hospitality and a listening ear as we ask Big Questions.

There's no gathering in Northstowe over the August bank holiday weekend. Several of us will be at the Greenbelt Festival celebrating Artistry, Activism, and Belief (why not join us for the day on Sunday, even if not the whole weekend!)
