Accessible to people of all ages, our regular all-age service is a special time led by a lay worship leader and musician. This is a Service of the Word following resources from New Patterns of Worship with participation from the whole community.

Evening Prayer

Every Second, Fourth, Fifth, Last Sunday at for 30 mins

In this service we normally follow the Book of Common Prayer order for Evening Prayer. This simple service has limited musical accompaniment and no sermon, although a short reflection on the readings may be included.

Annual General Meeting

The annual general meeting for the "Villars English Church Committee" will take place on 16 December at 19:30 via Zoom. For anyone who has been attending services regularly over the past year and would wish to join the association, please let Seth know in time before the meeting.

As a reminder, this association operates with the simplest possible structure to allow us to manage a bank account within a proper legal framework. Being part of this association is not the same thing as being on the electoral roll of a Church of England chaplaincy/parish. As a church community, we are currently part of the chaplaincy of St John's Montreux.

Sung Eucharist

Every Third Sunday at for 1 hour

We celebrate Holy Communion once per month when our chaplain joins us from St John's Montreux. Sections of the liturgy are sung by the congregation alongside hymns. The service follows Common Worship as well as the readings and seasons of the year established in the Church of England lectionary.

After the service, everyone is invited to go for a drink together to continue our time of fellowship and discussion.

Our famous Christmas Eve tradition, a family-friendly and traditional service of lessons and carols. Plan to arrive early for a seat as this is the most popular service of the year!

Christmas Eve Eucharist

Following our lessons and carols service, we will also have a quieter and more contemplative Eucharist to celebrate Christmas. This is our Christmas Eucharist and there is no service in Villars on Christmas Day.
