Sunday 21st June 2026

This Sunday is the Third Sunday after Trinity, and Revd Mark Nam will be taking the service.

Ordinary Time has now properly begun: that long green season of the Church year when nothing much appears to be happening, which is usually when God is getting on with the serious business. The great festivals have passed, the bunting has been put away, and we return to the wonderfully stubborn work of becoming Christian in ordinary life.

This week, Jesus speaks of what is whispered in the dark being proclaimed from the rooftops — which is a marvellous and slightly alarming image, especially for those of us who prefer faith to remain respectable, well-mannered, and safely indoors.

But the Christian life was never meant to be hidden away. It is something to be lived, practised, and gently allowed to give light in the ordinary places of our lives.

So do come this Sunday, and perhaps bring someone with you. Church is not a private club for the spiritually polished; it is where ordinary people are gathered, strengthened, and sent out again with a little more courage, a little more hope, and the grace of Christ at the centre.

Every blessing,   Rev'd. Mark
