Tynings Lane Church is 90 years old!

It is 90 years since St. Mary's Mission, now known as Tynings Lane Church, was built. We are holding an anniversary festival from Friday 18th to Sunday 20th September 2026.

Commemorative stones were unveiled on 19th September 1936 by Miss Joberns of Leighswood and the Mission Workers who had been reaching the residents in this area as an outreach from the Parish Church of St. Mary the Virgin for several years.  The Joberns family owned a brick and tile company in the area and two generations served as churchwardens at the Parish Church.

We are holding events on the Friday evening, Saturday afternoon and evening, Sunday all day. If you once worshipped at St. Mary's Mission/Tynings Lane Church or you live locally and wonder what the fuss is about then you are most welcome to come and see us at these events. See our Services and Events page for particular details including our other regular services and meetings. Many details are also on our Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/TyningsLaneChurch/
