As we are in a pandemic situation with the spread of Coronavirus (Covid-19) our churches are adhering to advice from the Church of England on this matter. There are changes in our Eucharistic services whereby communion will be shared in "one kind" only, that is only receiving the wafer and not passing the chalice. The Peace will not involve shaking hands and can be shared in alternative non-contact ways. There will be no laying on of hands during this time so that our congregations and communities are protected. We are aware of the advice given by the Government and will endeavour to publish this as it affects our churches. There may be changes, sometimes at short notice, to our service pattern and meetings. Please check local church and village noticeboards for up to date information. From 8th August 2020 face coverings are mandatory in places of worship. In addition to this we will ask you to provide your name and a contact number for track and trace purposes.Rest assured that we are doing all we can to make your visit to our churches as safe and pleasant as possible. Hand sanitiser, social distancing and regular, thorough cleaning are in place to support your safety. We have a wonderful community in our Parishes and can help those who are vulnerable or in the "at-risk" categories in our communities. Please spare a thought for those who may be required to self-isolate, or who are otherwise ill. Give a neighbour a call to make sure they are okay. Above all please stay safe and well.Ralph Howarth, Benefice Chair
