Retirement of Rev. Kathryn Hammond

We are greatly saddened that Rev Kathryn is retiring and will be leaving our Benefice on 15th February. As you probably know the process in the Church of England is that we go into a time of ‘interregnum’ after the incumbent leaves and the next person is appointed. By leaving in the early part of the year Kathryn is hoping that we can have a new Rector in place in time for when our parishes are able to fully open again and we are able to look at how we will move forward. The new person will have a ‘clean sheet’ to bring their own vision of the way forward for our Benefice.

During this period the churchwardens will take on a leadership role. We have obtained permission from the Archdeacon to keep the church office open in the Vicarage during the interregnum.
