There is a plan to collect monetary donations across the Diocese as a retirement present for Bishop Michael, and In Mid-Trent we have decided to collect any such donations during the Team services in August.
Our heartfelt congratulations go to Rev'd Louise Jones who was ordained by Bishop Michael in Lichfield Cathedral on 27th June. She now continues her ministry in Shropshire.
In the middle of May the large Lime tree that had reduction work done back in spring 2024, dropped a large branch in a short storm which landed on the road causing a temporary blockage.
We all must eventually experience the final low tide, but for Christians this is not a scary place because, as we stand on that final shore on which the waters disappear, we look to that other shore beyond the sea, the eternal shore ..........
