St Peters Church and Village History Day September 13th is the annual Staffordshire Historic Churches Trust Ride and Stride event, when we open our church for those walking or riding around as many churches as they can to raise money both for the Trust and individual Churches. St Peters will be open from 10-00am until 6-00pm In addition to a welcome for Riders and Striders will have church records, old Birth Marriage and Death records, letters and documents (or copies of) from the 19th and 20th century. These records will be available for any visitors or villagers to peruse.

Do you have ancestors who lived in the village and maybe have their final resting place here? Come and find out more about them and the church’s history, and have a go at the Church History trail From 12-00noon until 4-00pm there will be Refreshments & Cream Teas served in the Village Hall along with history information to browse about the village.

Please join us and help us to raise funds to enable us to keep our church playing its part in the village as it has for the past 900 years.
