St John the Evangelist, New Hinksey

A very warm welcome to the Church of St John the Evangelist, New Hinksey.

We meet every Sunday for worship at our 10.45am Solemn Eucharist. We’re a friendly bunch of followers and seekers of Christ, and you’ll be most welcome to join us in our adventure of doing so. Refreshments are served after the service and that time provides a great opportunity to get to know us a little better. Parking is freely available at the church.

We additionally meet every Monday-Thursday at 8.30am for Morning Prayer, and Wednesday evening 7pm for a quiet and contemplative Eucharist.

The Church is part of the Parish of South with New Hinksey. We stand within the Catholic tradition (High Church) of the Church of England and seek to welcome others into that faith and life. We place emphasis on the scriptures and the tradition of the Church and have a life based around the regular celebration of the Eucharist and the other sacraments.

Our mission statement says - We believe in God’s love and generosity to all his people through Jesus, and as his people in this place we hold out our hands in welcome.
