About Us

Introduction

St Wilfrid’s is an inclusive parish in the catholic tradition in east Leeds. We are part of the worldwide Anglican Communion and Communion members of the Diocese of Leeds within the Church of England.

The Church

Our striking and beautiful church building, completed in 1939, was designed by Randall Wells and has furnishings by Eric Gill and other artists. It is a grade II listed building.

The Services

Our Sunday service at 10.30am is either a Sung Eucharist or a Service of the Word with hymns. You are very welcome to join us. Everything you need to take part in our services will be on screens in church. At the moment, we are are not using hymn books or pew sheets, to help keep everyone safe from covid 19.

The service brings music, bells, colour, light and incense to the glory of God. We have an organist.
