The church has a rich and long established choral tradition which we seek to cherish and develop. Our aim is to enhance the sung worship of the church, serving to the best of our ability as a response and as an offering to God.

The choir sings on most Sundays throughout the year at the 10:30 a.m. Communion and 6:30 p.m. Evensong services, as well as special services and events. The choir also sings in at least one Cathedral each year, and has a strong social life. More than 50 people sang in the Choir last year with a strength of nearly 20 at choral communion and evensong services.

We are an enthusiastic mixed voice and mixed age group, and we love to welcome new members. We meet to rehearse every Friday from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., and half an hour before special services. New recruits of any voice are welcome.

East Midlands Young Adults Pilgrimage to Taizé

Occurring
for 8 days, 8 hours
Venue
Taizé
Address
Taizé

The Diocese of Derby, along with the Dioceses of Leicester and Lincoln, has come together to offer a Pilgrimage to Taizé for young adults aged 18-35, which will take place from August 1-9 this year.

Taizé (https://www.taize.fr/en/) is an ecumenical Christian community in Southern France which produces the beautiful contemplative worship music familiar to many. Its mission is to reach young people throughout the world.

If you are interested in spending a week camping with a global and monastic community, we will be making this pilgrimage together, travelling and camping as a group from across the East Midlands. The trip will cost approximately £350, and priority is given to young adults aged 18-35.
