The church has a rich and long established choral tradition which we seek to cherish and develop. Our aim is to enhance the sung worship of the church, serving to the best of our ability as a response and as an offering to God.

The choir sings on most Sundays throughout the year at the 10:30 a.m. Communion and 6:30 p.m. Evensong services, as well as special services and events. The choir also sings in at least one Cathedral each year, and has a strong social life. More than 50 people sang in the Choir last year with a strength of nearly 20 at choral communion and evensong services.

We are an enthusiastic mixed voice and mixed age group, and we love to welcome new members. We meet to rehearse every Friday from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., and half an hour before special services. New recruits of any voice are welcome.

Our weekly Sunday Holy Communion service - all are welcome.

Every November at St Oswald’s Church, we remember those who have died in a special service. A candle is lit and each person is remembered by name. Many people come, year after year, to remember and give thanks.

We invite all those who have been bereaved to join us on Sunday 1st November at 6.30pm.

If you wish to remember someone during the service, then please inform us by Wednesday 28th October - email: [email protected].

We are hosting simple, welcoming, outdoor gatherings that follow the rhythm of the Celtic year.

As each season turns, we meet in St Oswald's Churchyard to pause, breathe, and reconnect with nature. All are welcome. Bring your curiosity and a love of being outdoors. We will gather around a fire pit, share gentle reflections, and seek the peace and connection of the Creator whilst enjoying the calm of the evening as the year unfolds.

We will meet in all weathers, unless dangerous to do so. Please come dressed for the outdoors and bring something to sit on if you are able.
