Church of England Diocese of Chichester Aldrington, Saint Leonard

St Leonard's

Due the current national emergency, we have taken the step of moving our Sunday services online. This is for everyone's safety and also is a bit more comfortable in this cold winter! Please see the calendar for details of how to join our Sunday services, which will be held at the normal time of 9:30am each Sunday, on the Zoom platform.

In this pandemic, many more people are struggling to have enough money for food. With furlough ending and with employment falling, more people will find making ends meet even more difficult. We believe it is our duty to help others, so every Thursday, until about 3.00 pm, we are collecting for the Purple People Kitchen Food Bank in Portslade. Non-perishable foods, preferably in tins/jars and hygiene products - soap, deodorant, sanitary goods will all be more than welcome. You can also drop these items off in the box in the church porch on Sundays, until about 10.45 am. Please help those who may be finding life extremely difficult at present.

The Parish of Aldrington, St Leonard, is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishop's guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer(s), PSOs. The Diocese of Chichester’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Adviser (DSA) who advise our PSOs. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children orAdult Services.

Come and join us as we worship together online. We will use either a Service of the Word liturgy or the Parish Communion service. All are welcome, even if you don't normally come to our church, or are just curious.
All the words and responses are shown on the screen, we can join in with hymns and songs, we have the privilege of listening to the speaker of the day (one of an array of awesome priests and leaders who serve at St Leonards), and there is time after the service for chat and friendship.

Join us for our first ever online service, led by Canon Tony Thompson. We'll be using the Zoom platform so we can all meet, worship and pray together while staying in our kitchens and living rooms!
