Join us for the unveiling of our poppy installation on 1st November at 2pm in the St Mary’s churchyard. The installation will be in place for 2 weeks. This is a community wide effort and contains over 10,000 hand made poppies to commemorate 80 years since the end of World War II.

Parish Communion following the Common Worship Lectionary, normally every Sunday apart from Christmas and Easter. Followed by tea, coffee and biscuits in the Whistler Centre.

The Dean and churchwarden would like to invite you to attend the Remembrance Sunday Service at St Mary’s Church in Battle on Sunday 9th November at 10.50am. The service will follow the traditional format.

In order to seat everyone promptly we will reserve seats for dignitaries who confirm their attendance. We would respectfully request that others and those not joining the parade be seated at the church by 10.40.

The parade will assemble at the Coach park in Market Road at 10.15. It is expected to leave at 10.25 arriving at the church at 10.40. Flag bearers will fall out first and take up a position to line the church path before members of uniformed organisations file into church.

You are very welcome to come along to this informal service - we’d love to see you there!
There will be a cup of tea or coffee and something delicious to eat when you arrive. We sing a few songs and have a reading and a talk. There is great children's work in the Benedicta Whistler Centre next door. Everyone is welcome!

Every weekday morning a small group gathers in the St Catherine's chapel for morning prayer. This quiet service includes the readings and psalms set for the day, as well as space for silent reflection and prayer before the busyness of the day begins. It lasts approximately 25 minutes. Everyone is welcome.

Cocaine Anonymous meets every Tuesday evening in the Benedicta Whistler Centre at St Mary’s. 7 - 8.30pm
Free and confidential support provided by Cocaine Anonymous who describe themselves as addicts who meet together to share their hope, faith and courage for the purpose of staying sober and helping others achieve the same freedom. Every meeting is confidential and there is no fee. The meetings are based on the Twelve Step Recovery programme. They are not allied with any sect, denomination, politics, organisation or institution.

Our wonderful bellringers meet every week on a Tuesday to ring. Their ages range from 12 to over retirement and they welcome newcomers. Do get in touch if you are interested in ringing.

A baby and toddler group for children under 4 and their parents and carers. We meet every Wednesday during term time in the hall at the end of our car park from 9.30 - 11am. We have plenty of exciting toys and ride ons for the toddlers, messy play, fresh fruit snack for the children and fresh coffee, tea & biscuits for the adults. We look forward to welcoming you.

This service is held every week on a Thursday morning and is led by either the Dean or a member of the local retired clergy. You are very welcome to come along and it is held in the Lady Chapel which is to the left at the back of St Mary's. Once a month the Mothers' Union meet after the service and non-members are always welcome. Refreshments are provided after the service.

Join us as we mark the beginning of Advent, the season of expectation leading up to Christmas. There will be beautiful choral music and traditional readings along with traditional Advent Carols that are more quiet and reflective than Christmas Carols. Mulled wine and mince pies will be served afterwards. The winners of the Christmas Tree Festival and the raffle will be announced at the end of the service. You are very welcome to join us.

Come along and join us on the 1st Thursday of the month after the 10.30am midweek Holy Communion service. We are a friendly group and non-members are welcome. Refreshments are provided.

The Volya Voices are a choir made up of Ukrainian women who fled from the war in 2022 and were welcomed in East Sussex. The choir means a lot to them as they share their culture and songs with you and collect donations for first aid to go to Ukraine.
Come and hear them sing on 4th December. Delicious Ukrainian cakes and food available too.

Our popular Carols in the Churchyard returns with festive carols, a candlelit churchyard and the best hot chocolate, mulled wine & delicious food in the warm church centre afterwards. Free of charge. Wrap up warmly and come along!

Each year, Lights of Love offers the opportunity to make a tangible act of remembrance for loved ones no longer with us in the form of dedicating a star or heart on a Lights of Love tree at one of 9 locations across Hastings and Rother. Whether your loved one received the care of St Michael's Hospice or not, young or old, local or further afield, all can be remembered with Lights of Love.
Refreshments will be served afterwards. Everyone is welcome.

A beautiful and atmospheric service with a choir, Christmas readings and uplifting Carols. Following the service there will be cheese and wine in the Benedicta Whistler Centre next to the church. Do come and join us!

One of the highlights of Christmas is our family friendly Christingle service where each child is given an orange with a candle, sweets & fruit on it. There is festive carol singing, a giant Christingle and it is guaranteed to be lots of fun. It's a great way to spend time together on Christmas Eve and we look forward to welcoming you!
