Opening
We love to welcome people to St Mary's and we try to keep the church open as much as possible, but we rely on volunteers to provide this service and sometimes there's a hitch that means we have to close earlier than we would like. If you are making a special visit to see us, please call 01273 698601 in advance to check that we'll be there.
Monday: 9.30am - 1pm
Tuesday: 6pm - 8pm
Wednesday: 9.30am - 1pm
Thursday: Closed
Friday: 9.30am - 1pm
2nd Saturday of every month: 10am - 12pm
Sunday: 9am - 2pm
Getting here
We are on the corner of St James's Street and Upper Rock Gardens in the Kemp Town area of Brighton.
The bus services are good.
Heading east, buses 1, 2, 7, 14B, 14C, 18 52, 71, N1, N7 stop at Rock Gardens (on Upper Rock Gardens), while 1A stops at Park Street (on Eastern Road). Heading west towards the city centre, get off at Devonshire Street (on Edward Street).
East-bound buses nos. 37, 37A, 37B, 47 and 57 stop at Rock Gardens (on St James's Street) and, going west, at Rock Gardens (on Lower Rock Gardens).
Buses 12, 12A, 14, 14A, 14B, 14C, 27, N12 and N14 stop at New Steine (Marine Parade).
Parking is limited in the immediate neighbourhood of the church. There is pay and display parking available in various roads, including up to four hours along Freshfield Road, to the north-east of the church, on the other side of Edward Street/Eastern Road.
