St Bartholomew, Burwash

Burwash church warmly welcomes all visitors.  People often come to the church as part of a visit to Bateman's, the famous National Trust property.  We love to see your nice remarks in our visitors' book.  As the government has relaxed the rules regarding facemasks in churches, we no longer require them to be worn. However, we do ask that you respect everyone's choice in this matter, and hope you feel welcome and safe whether wearing a mask or not. We are open every day for you to visit, pray and meditate.

Our Safeguarding statement:

The parish of Burwash: St Bartholomew is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer, PSO. The Diocese of Chichester’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Adviser (DSA) who advise our PSO. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services
