Getting here

St Mary’s (Battersea Parish Church) is a warm, open and inclusive congregation, worshipping in a stunning Georgian building on the banks of the River Thames. Christians have been worshipping on this site for over 1200 years.

St Mary's is a very diverse church - its worship is reasonably traditional but decidedly unstuffy; it has a strong musical tradition and a good, friendly choir which always welcomes new membership. The congregation (currently 210 members plus lots occasional worshippers and visitors) is made up of all ages and has grown recently in membership from younger families and twenty-something professionals. It values good thoughtful, biblical preaching, activities for every age, a concern for community renewal (through the work of London Citizens and its support of local community development work).

St Mary's is also a historic church: William Blake was married here; J M W Turner painted from here.

St Mary's is a broad church, a thoughtful church, a musical church, an active church, an inclusive church, a friendly church for all ages. It's a church you are welcome to join.
