Facilities and features

Accessibility

At Communion everyone is welcome to the altar for either a blessing or to receive the sacrament.
We have a children’s corner available at all services with soft toys and colouring etc. We also give any child a bag containing colouring materials, and other items.

Parking is very limited at our church itself but parking spaces are always available for those who ask in advance

There is a long ramp at the front of the church with entry near the front of the church, there is also a hand rail on the steps.

We have large print versions of the service sheet available at the back of the church.

Crowborough train station is 2mins walk from the church it is on the Uckfield to London Bridge line. Sadly the busses do not run on a Sunday.

We have benches in the ground of the church that are available to anyone any time.

Coffeemate powdered milk is always available on request at the refreshments after the service.

There is a layby in front of the church.

Gluten free wafers are available for Holy Communion, just ask at the altar rail. Gluten free refreshments are always available and labelled.

Assistance doge are welcome.

We have a dedicated accessible toilet with raised seat and hand rails.

All are welcome. If you, or someone with you, requires special help please ask and we will do our best to assist.

We have a regular bowls evening in the hall, run by the Dementia awareness group. We also have a group of bowls players, who are regular members of our congregation, who have been trained in Dementia awareness.

We have a brand new sound system with a hearing loop.

Car parking is limited but there is a public car park 5 mins walk away and a Tesco car park also very close.

Large print versions of the service booklets are available at the back of the church.

We have a baby changing facility in the accessible toilet. Nappies and nappy bags are also there.

There is a defibrillator on the wall of the business almost opposite the church.


Our Building

We have a small Christian library at the back of the church and a larger general book collection in the hall. Books can be taken away for a small donation.

We have beautiful windows depicting the life of Christ right around the church and also behind the altar.

In addition to the accessible toilet there are two unisex toilets in the hall. The hall is open during services.


Music and Worship

There are occasional organ recitals by our excellent organists. We also hold occasional music events in the hall see our event page for more information.

We have an excellent organ, which was completely refurbished two years ago. We also have two excellent organists who play for most services.

We have an small but enthusiastic choir to help the singing every Sunday plus an anthem at services of the Word and other occasions.


Groups, Courses and Activities

We have a regular bible study on a Wednesday evening .

We have a box in the porch to collect clothing and toiletries for the camp in North Crowborough. We also have contact with the support group.

There is coffee after the service every Sunday and a dedicated coffee Morning every Tuesday.

We hold Lent and Advent courses every year. We also have a pop up book club discussing lighter Christian literature.

We employ a part time hall cleaner

Muddy church is normally held every 3rd Sunday of the month.

Help for Visitors

Our hall is a polling station so the church is open on polling day for anyone to come in and sit or look around.


Other Features

We have a box for food donations at the back of the church every Sunday.

Audio visual facilities are available in the hall for use when required.

We have a small, but well maintained garden all round the church and hall.
