Church of England Diocese of Chichester South Lancing and Sompting

St Michael and All Angels

Welcome!

St Michael and All Angels is your parish church in the southern part of Lancing. We are a friendly and welcoming congregation of all ages and backgrounds.

At St Michael's, the church is the people and not the buildings. We are the 'living stones' that make up the church: we worship together, pray together, have fun together, eat together, look after one another and work together for the good of the community and the building up of God's kingdom. None of us are perfect, but we seek to be a church that lives out God's love for one another.

The parish of Lancing: St Michael and All Angels is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officers (PSOs). The Diocese of Chichester’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advise our PSOs. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services.

This is our main service, with lots of people, music and incense. It’s generally the service that families come to.

On the first Sunday of the month is our All-Age Mass, which is focused more on families
(although children are welcome to all our services).
