How to access the Hardship Fund

Availability for those in need

St. Laurence’s Church, Lurgashall, has a Hardship Fund to help those who may be facing difficulties, either as a result of the Coronavirus crisis or otherwise.

This help is available for anybody who lives in the three Parishes of Lurgashall, Northchapel or Ebernoe and is intended particularly for the benefit of young families and older members of the community.

The Fund is operated by the Churchwardens of St Laurence’s, Elizabeth Clark and Amanda Worrall.

Please note that the Fund is not available for any payments in cash – all benefits will be provided in kind only. Please also note that if the need is for help with food (unless it is a real emergency when the Fund will do its best to respond quickly) food needs will normally be provided through the Petworth Foodbank and not by the Fund. The Foodbank can be reached at  07501 921617 (local number) or 01243 773687 (Chichester base).
