Admission if free, with a retiring collection. If you prefer level access, please arrive through the South Door. Unfortunately there are no toilets in St Mary's and due to the evening timings local facilities at Middle Road and the Shoreham Centre may be closed, so please arrive comfortable.

Meditation with Morning Prayer Fridays 8am-8:40am. A time of quietness to begin the day, including the ancient spiritual practice of lectio divina, where we listen to scripture with the ‘ear of the heart’.

All concerts are held at St Mary de Haura, tickets are £5 cash on the door. See list of performers below...

These concerts are a great opportunity to introduce young friends and family to concert music because U18s are free and also because St Mary's is so accessible for travel.

A quiet said service of Holy Communion lasting about 40 mins. A peaceful and reflective way to start Sunday.

Our main gathering of the week is our Parish Eucharist, with full choir and organ music, lasting about an hour.

Children are especially welcome at the 10am service. Our 'Shine' Sunday School takes place every 2nd and 4th Sunday of the month, beginning at 10am in the Parish Hall for fun, stories and crafts before returning to church for Holy Communion.

On the 3rd Sunday of the month our Parish Eucharist has a simpler and shorter 'all-age' structure, seeking to be especially inclusive of children and young families.

Early-years faith explored through arts, crafts & family fellowship. SHINE meet during the 10am service, in the adjacent church hall. It's a convenient location with good bus & rail links, with nearby car parking available too.

Mary’s Music, a simple singing and music group for 0-4year with their parent/carer (during term time only). £2 donation.

Our mid-week service of Holy Communion takes place at 11.00am on Tuesdays. This is a said service with a gentle and peaceful atmosphere, in the beautiful space of St Mary's church. A brief homily is preached.

Tuesday evening is practice night! Newcomers are welcome, even if only to see what it's all about. You need not attend St Mary's as a worshipper and the group welcomes all, whether of any faith or of none.
Come along to meet the band at St Mary's main door, just before 7.30pm (although there is no ringing in Holy Week).

Bell's are rung before the 10am Sunday service, on special personal occasions (such as weddings & baptisms) and, of course, on national moments such as Queen Elizabeth's Platinum Jubilee & King Charles' recent Coronation. The band at St Mary's is a lovely group; a mix of men & women, and is not limited to those that worship at St Mary's. Access to the Ringing Room is via a stone, spiral-staircase in the church tower.

Contemplative prayer has been part of the Christian tradition since earliest times. In the medieval period it became mostly associated with monasticism, but in the 20th century it was reclaimed as a normal part of many people’s spiritual journey. The Julian Meetings is a network of groups to foster contemplative prayer in the Christian tradition. In contemplation we just ‘are’ before God with the four ‘S’s: Stillness, Silence, Simplicity, Surrender.

Relax and refresh away from the bustle of the fabulous Shoreham Farmers' Market. There are treats to be enjoyed in St Mary's, so call in.

2nd Sunday of the month at 6.00pm in the Lady Chapel.

A short, quiet said service of Night Prayer to end the weekend.

Come along to the Parish Office for tea/coffee, cake, and a chat.

MU is a Christian organisation which promotes well-being of families, worldwide. Our group at St Mary's meets on 2nd Monday of each month.

We (MU) started out as a Christian group to support mothers and families and that remains at the core of our work and guiding principles, but we welcome you to join us whoever you are - you don’t have to have children, be married, be a woman, or be a churchgoer. There are different ways to belong depending on what works best for you.
