Week 3 - Lifting the iron slabs

The first iron slab was laid in 1617.
The archaeologists have confirmed that they do not mark the locations of burials as they were relocated during the Victorian reordering works. The slabs were laid on top of Victorian rubble. When we raise the floor and relay the conserved iron slabs, they will be in the same position, they are at present. We will make sure the surface they are laid on, protects them for future generations to enjoy and cherish.
