Discover Wadhurst's Hidden Treasures: Antiques in Your Attic

Tucked away in cupboards and boxes may be objects once treasured, a stamp or coin collection, now simply stored. Perhaps you want to find out what a particular object is for? Do you have an antique, jewellery, a vase, painting or print you don't use but have not got round to selling or giving away? Could they serve a greater purpose?

Wadhurst Church invites you to take a fresh look at what you already own. With over 80% of the Repair and Heating Project now funded, we are within reach of securing the church's future warmth and welcome. Antiques in the Attic is a chance for you to help close the gap.

On Saturday 25th April, Bentley's Fine Art Auctioneers of Cranbrook will be at the church for a special Valuation Day. Bring along items of genuine value - not jumble sale odds and ends, but pieces with character or collectable appeal - and discover their age, purpose, and market worth. Bentley's, familiar from Antiques Roadshow, Flog It!, Bargain Hunt, and Antiques Road Trip, are generously donating their expertise in return for a £5 contribution per valuation to the Building Fund.

You can then decide whether to keep your item, send it to auction, or donate it to support the the restoration of Wadhurst's 12t century church. The weekend continues with a Giving Sunday Service on 26th April at 10:30am, when donated items will be formally received. Have a look in your loft. Your forgotten treasure could help secure the future of Wadhurst Church for generations to come.
