Music and Worship

St Michael’s has six bells, which are rung from the ground floor. The heaviest bell weighs 10 cwt. The bellringers are usually happy to welcome visitors, whether they are existing ringers or have never touched a bell rope in their lives. Anyone over the age of eleven, who wishes to learn, will be given full training and there is no need to worry because no-one is left alone until they can safely handle a bell by themselves. Our practice nights and church services have currently been suspended.

We are pleased to host an annual Christmas Concert given by Thurmaston Scout and Guide Band (Thurmaston Marching Brass).

We enjoy worship accompanied by the organ at many of our services.

We hold BCP Evensong every three months. Please see the calendar for details.
